Melinda Brandt has a diverse portfolio of experience, a superior understanding of her craft, and an incredible dedication to educating herself and sharing that knowledge with others. She is most recognized for her bridal and editorial styling, her modern coloring techniques, and her precision cutting and detailing work. Her wide knowledge of techniques and trends helps her create looks that best suit her clients' personal styles, whether they prefer to look hip and alternative or classic and neat.
Melinda's passion for design grew from her love of fine art, handcraft, and sculpture. As an undergraduate, she pursued her interest in visual design at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Her desire to work in a more hands-on capacity led her to pursue a cosmetology license in 2005.
Melinda is well known for being approachable, enthusiastic, and down to earth. She draws inspiration from fashion, nature, and art, and she is constantly pushing boundaries to create a unique perspective on current trends. During her 10-plus years at her former salon, Melinda became closely connected with her community, earning outstanding reviews on Yelp and building a fiercely loyal clientele. She is very excited to welcome her clients to the Seaport and to immerse herself in a new community.
Melinda has trained with Toni & Guy, L'Oreal Professionnel, Shu Uemura, and Baxter of California. She has also had the incredible opportunity to work alongside Odile Gilbert for Kerastase.
